Windsor Castle

They say that the Queen calls Windsor "My Home", and Buckingham palace "My Office". The English King, William the Conqueror, built Windsor Castle in the end of the 11th century, now it is the largest inhabited castle in the world and has been owned by the same family for almost a thousand years. It is where the Queen spends most week-ends. The Royal family's surname is Windsor after the castle.

Windsor castle is the meeting place of the Knights of the Garter, who meet there once a year.

Our tour will include the State Rooms of the Castle, which are used by Her Majesty for receptions and State Banquets. We will also visit St. George's Chapel, the building of outstanding architectural beauty, where 9 Kings are buried, including The Queen's parents and sister. If you wish, we can extend our tour for the whole day, will cross the Thames and visit Eaton , the most affluent school in England, founded by King Henry VI in 1440. 20 British Prime Ministers graduated from Eaton. Prince William and Harry also went there. If you have children, we could visit Legoland, which is located just outside Windsor.

The visit to the Castle will take 4-5 hours, with Eaton or Legoland -8-9 hours.
