Stonehenge
What is Stonehenge? It's a pre-historic temple with 25 ton stones aligned with the movement of the Sun.
Who built Stonehenge? The Stone Age people who lived 45 centuries ago and were sophisticated enough to build this masterpiece of engineering.
Where is Stonehenge? This monument is located in the county of Wiltshire, 130 km from London, and has a unique landscape of the prehistoric age.
Why did the people build Stonehenge? We don't know for sure. There are a few theories and we will discuss them during the visit.
Bernard Cornwall, a novelist wrote about Stonehenge:
A circle of chalk / A ring of stone /
And a house of arches to call / the far Gods home.
But whatever these megalithic stones were we will leave Stonehenge with a deep feeling of our belonging to the Nature and Universe.
The tour will take us 9 hours if combined with a visit Salisbury or 10 hours if you wish to visit Bath.
