Shakespeare in London Walk

The great English playwright William Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon Avon but spent more than 20 years of his life in London. Although the London of the 16th century was destroyed in the Great Fire in 1666, Shakespearean London still lives in the restored theatre "The Globe", in the names of the streets where bear-baiting and cock fighting took place, in Southwark Cathedral where the actors came for Sunday service, and in some pubs which survived through the centuries.

William Shakespeare wrote 37 Comedies, Histories and Tragedies and a lot of sonnets, whilst also being a wealthy businessman and a man of his time. Even if you are not a great admirer of the English Bard you will enjoy this walk in an historical part of London. This tour lasts 3 hours.
