The Tower of London

The Tower of London is a Royal Castle and Palace built by the King William the Conqueror in the 11th century. It belongs to the Queen and is a symbol of Monarchy. The Tower is safeguarded by The Yeomen Warders who are well known as Beefeaters. They are helped by the Ravens who are actually employed at the expense of the British Government. We will look at The Crown Jewel exhibition and The Tower Green where 3 English Queens were beheaded. The tour lasts 2-3 hours and is a must see when you are in London.
